LimoLady, I am an RN and I work in the ER, please, throw the cigarettes away right now! If you were willing to spend money to correct the way you look on the "outside" please care enough for your "Insides". I am not trying to offend you but I see some horrible problems with cigarette smoking and it is Never to late to stop. Your healing took a much slower pace than nonsmokers, you have restricted the oxygen flow to your face making your skin look aged again. Your 1st surg may have lasted years longer but you are truly "rushing" your aging process by smoking. I know it is terribly hard to stop, but get that fake cigarette and some nicotine patches or the gum, take a bike ride when you get frustrated or drink a Huge glass of water. Research states that smoking 2 or 3 cigarettes per day is just as harmful as the whole pack....throw them away today! and imagine the money you will have too! if you stop today, day by day with plenty of water to help flow the oxygen thru your veins, sunscreen, nice facial creams and nice makeup you will begin to feel and look refreshed again. I honestly believe you wont have to repeat another facial surgery for quite a few years. I know it is going to be hard but as a nurse for every person I can help I feel rewarded. I truly want to see people happy and healthy. I'm going to share a little story with you and maybe it will help give you some strength. I lost my daughter 4 years ago complications from an auto accident. The pain has been horrible and i am tormented every day, but I pray for strength and I work hard and I work very hard on my health. What I am saying, If I can survive the pain of the passing of my daughter, you too can survive this addicting bad habit. Please know I am writing from the heart, I truly wish my patients (and non patients) a life of health! God Bless
