Toobig - listen to Piggles. I had a few days of real blues right after surgery, too. To me it felt like I was mourning the breasts I had lost. I didn't fight it, I just had a few cries on the phone with close friends, said goodbye to my old breasts, and welcomed my new ones. These feelings are part of hte process and they will pass. But DONT let your blues keep you from taking care of yourself. LISTEN TO PIGGLES. It's critical that you drink lots and lots of water, eat lean protein and dark leafy greens. You won't heal well if you don't feed yourself what your body needs to turn over all those cells. So shuffle off the couch and eat some healthy food. And then call your good friends and have a cry. This will pass, and you'll be able to enjoy these new breasts!
Joivy, sounds like you are doing well. If you look around the website, you'll see lots of women have that "boxy" result early on. If the PS didn't shape your breasts that way, when they softened and settled, they would be very elongated and your nipples would be too high! So have faith and just keep taking such good care of yourself. My experience is that all the real "work" is in the recovery - after all, I slept through the surgery :-) - so know that you are doing yourself and your breasts a huge favor by taking it easy.
Doh! Typing on phone fail. Anyway, maybe it will be different for you, but I predict you'll still get plenty of attention.
Also, heads-up: almost all of us have a day or so post-surgery where we fret that the boobs are too small. I think it's the brain struggling with the big change. Usually wears off pretty quickly. I'm betting that your new girls are gonna be gorgeous head-turners!
Hi TooBig,
You're almost there! Two thoughts:
1. I agree. If you take Vicodin on a daily basis, you may need something that strong for your post-surgical pain. Do you have enough Vicodin left to get you through the next couple of weeks? Sounds smart to talk to your GP.
2. Before I had this surgery, I too imagined that my days of being the object of male attention might be over - at least male attention of the leering on the street kind. Actually, nothing has been farther from the truth. I get at least as many leers (ha ha) as before, maybe more. Now, I've tended to be a conservative dresser when it comes to revealing boobage
