thanks for your sweet comments! i'm very happy with my results. chronological pics were exactly what i was looking for when i was doing research and i couldn't find it so i thought, i'll do it for the next girls. i knew it would help even at some level. I wanted to be in complete control of my risks, so i was very adamant about icing, sleep(& meds) and massage!!!
~sorry you're having sensitive nipples. did you get areola incision? (my insicion was in the below boob crease)
~ I didn't consider my nipple sensation being an extreme sensitivity, I called the zingers. they seemed to radiate from the edge of implant area towards the nipple. I chalked it up to nerve regeneration. Then i embraced it as a healing process and every time i felt it, just breathed through it and mentally confirming to myself that it's part of the healing process and it will fade. It did fade, and i haven't had one for months. I hope that helps!
hey SweetAmy0787 - thanks for your comments. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have. I asked a lot, to my friends and PS and seriously I called my nurse like every week, if not twice a week for first month or two. you'll be paying a lot of money for your procedure and you darn right deserve to have all the answers to keep you confident in your doc and your decisions. I didn't read your profile before responding to your post, but i'll read it to see if i can help at all.
As far as our 10 years, i'm really stoked about it, but looking back, i had a few doubts here and there. we hadn't moved in together until 3 years in, when we moved to maui together. it sounds so cheezy to say, we're best friends and fit together like puzzle pieces, but it's true. he was a very sweet darling, tending to me when my surgery was first done, but it didn't last. and i knew that if i got whiny and expected him to help with "everything' he'd get over it fast, so i didn't (and i'm not usually the whiny-type - until 'that time of the month'). that's one piece of advice that i stand by. my bf doesn't really cater too much and doesn't have a 'feminine side', but he was very kind and caring during the hard time!! stay strong. you'll do great. one of my good friends said that it was the most painful experience she'd ever had ( and she had 2 kids). So i went into it with that expectation, and it was definetly not as bad as i imagine birthing to be. but, everyone's different, and maybe my pain tolerance is higher than most. do you have any questions about your upcoming procedure that you're contemplating!?
