Ok. I had my first fraxel done three weeks ago. My face was still bright red. My dermatologist still recommended is use my bleaching cream but lowered it to 4 percent instead of 6 percent. Well I went to the pharmacy and they were all out of it. So I ordered it for the next day. Last night I just used my normal face wash and went to bed. Next morning I woke up and all the redness was gone. My suggestion if your still red after two weeks is stop the prescriptions and go back to your normal routine. It worked for me. I guess it was a good thing the pharmacy was out of my scripts.
I have Asian skin and I'm starting to bronze a little. It's not bad though. My esthecian prescribed me bleaching cream which I apply twice a day and hydrocortisone. I had no swelling at all and I completely peeled two days later. All my friends tell me it just looks like I've been in the sun. With the down time and having kids I do not think I would not do it again. Not as easy as it says it is
I just had fraxel done 7 days ago. It was not an easy experience for me. Down time was the whole 7 days. I'm reddish pink today. Overall my face looks great. I would recommend two weeks for healing.
