It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about your appearance. If you are not happy with your nose, you should have it redone. Maybe some minor refinements of the center of the nose, including the tip, will put your face in the same harmony as it was before, which, I agree, was very nice. Your face looks nice now too, but maybe it changed your appearance too much. Now that it has been a year, you can have revision surgery. Maybe your new nose is too upturned compared to how you were before. You really need to analyze what you do not like about your nose so the new surgery will be successful.

You look fabulous, so much younger than 68 and beautiful. With the weight loss you are a totally new person. Congrats on such an incredible transformation.

I remember there was a time when it was required to get a psych evaluation before one got a rhinoplasty. I don't remember if this was just for younger people, or everybody.

Sometimes I feel I should get my nose worked on. It is not bad looking, but it is also not perfect. When I start focusing on it, all of a sudden it looks worse than ever, and when I look in the mirror, all I see is my nose. It looks bigger, wider and way too turned up. I actually got close to making an appt. to get it fixed ASAP. Then I decide to step back and cool down. After that my nose appears to shrink, and my other features comes into focus. This has happened several times this year. I have had some other cosmetic procedures, but nothing that could change my appearance as much as a rhino.

Of course, like most people, I would love to be drop dead gorgeous. I have gotten positive remarks about my appearance, but never believe those people. However, I myself have thought certain people to be extremely attractive, without having perfect features, and maybe even because of it.

So, I guess what I am saying to you Emma, is that your situation, is not all that unique, and maybe you do not have BDD. But, I do think the longer you look at your nose, the worse you will think it is. I have areas of my nose that are asymmetrical too, but I doubt that anyone else knows this but me.

I think we are our own worst critics. I know you are disappointed and were expecting your nose to look different than it does. But, I have seen rhinos that have produced noses that were too small, and otherwise did not fit the person's face. It gave the wearer a very plain, empty looking face, devoid of any character. Your nose is in good balance to the rest of your face. Better than your old one. Plus your nose does not shout "NOSE JOB". It looks very natural.

Hopefully, you will do what I have done, and stop fixating on your one feature. You are a very pretty girl, and because you are so young, your face is going to change, as you mature. Leave well enough alone, and give everything a tincture of time.

I thought it was me. I do not see, from the pictures, what the problems are. As far as people being repulsed and turning away from her, I just don't get it.
