Hi there, I have posted to this forum previously! I know how you feel- it is soul destroying. I am over 7 weeks from my Botox and my eye lid is still NOT back to normal. It is a lot better & the drops work for me in the morning, but as soon as it gets to mid day, the strain from work & focusing on things tires it do droops more!
So down about it as there is nothing you can do to hide it. I won't be having it done again, no way!
I wake up & it looks higher, then next day has dropped, its got a mind of its own. If yours has taken all that time, I dread how long mine will take, I keep hoping iMac the worst it will be the time that Botox stays in system? But not site now after reading other people's stories :-(
Well just to give you all an update: on Day 3 after having Botox i woke up with my left eye lid half closed. The following day it had closed completely. The doc(who have me the Botox) told me not to worry it will go eventually but patience & time would be the only healer/ solution. He gave me a script for Iopidine drops which he informed me to take 3 times a day min & that they would take at least 6 days to start working (ie: lifting my eye lid). As informed, my eye lid remains pretty much closed until day 6 of using drops & has since started to look like it is opening. I am now 2 weeks and 2 days since having Botox & i would say my eye lid is looking 'nearly half way' open. I'm not sure if this is getting better or just the drops :-(
This has completely ruined all social plans I had & made life is extremely hard day to day now. I am struggling to even talk to people as I have to lift my head up to look through my 'bad eye' My neck is sore from doing so & im getting daily headaches from straining through it or trying to focus on things.
I have no eye brow droop so luckily it is just my lid that is affected. How long has everyones else's eye lid taken to get back to normal? I have read so many feeds on here saying 2months plus I don't know how I'm going to get through this for all that time :-(
Hi guys- I've had Botox twice in all 3 areas & loved the outcome. I went to a recommended GP. My friend has been going to him for 3 years with no previous issues. On my 3rd time which was exactly a week today- just one eye lid has dropped. I have been using eye drops since Sat that he has prescribed which have cost me a further £15. He tells me not to worry & it WILL return back to normal. I am now reading all these links & I am getting extremely worried it is permanent. I am so ashamed, upset & gutted! I will NEVER do Botox again EVER!!!! :-(
