Plan 4 weeks if u can. And make sure your doc puts u in light duty restrictions for at least 8 weeks after. I'm not law enforcement but am military with a pretty physically demanding job. You will be OK to go back to work at say a desk job after 2 weeks but as far as performing the physical duties you're gonna need extra time.

I had the Pharmacy tech ask me what I was having done... with a line of people behind me! Never had that, I just said, "excuse me?" She asked again and I turned it around and asked her, "Why are you asking? It's none of your business." Turned out she was thinking of having a TT done and was being wishy-washy about the decision
