And also Fraxel being advertised for $500 would not be a true Fraxel I don't think. I had the true Fraxel and ive wasted my money to only look worse and the doctor ignore me. She got her money and thats all she cares about. Why is it that we as women put ourselves through this rubbish. I should of been happy with myself the way I was. When I look at before photos to now I could kick myself for putting my trust in her.
Hi Megan,
I have been to another dermatologist and he has also only offered me cortisone but has told me to try not to use it if I can. He said I will most likely need more work done to correct what I have had done but he wont touch me until the irritation stops and then evaluate what redness is left. I think at this stage it is a waiting game. The niacinamide serum is helping and I am finally happy after 6 months I have found something my skin can tolerate to at least hydrate it. But I should have been offered something sooner. I am not keen at all to go near a laser again but I cannot live with the laser lines down my neck.
Hey mcast how are you going? I am from Victoria and had fraxel restore on my neck and chest. So 6 months later I am redder than when I started out, lots of broken capillaries, rough lumpy skin texture, visible lines down both sides of my neck, irritation, soreness. Also now break out in acne on my chest which have never had a problem with before. They never recommended any skin care just told me to moisturise with something like QV or Dermaveen but everything irritates. Also can't use any sunscreen even a physical one for that same reason. It's a nightmare and I regret ever having laser. My redness before was nothing to what I am putting up with now. I have been back to the doctor that did this many times with my problems and I am told to just use nothing but my skin is do dry and irritated it needs moisture. I drink cucumber juice every morning, take vitamin c, zinc, fish oil capsules and drink lots of water. I recently put a complaint into the place where i had this done because I can't live with the redness and irritation anymore and she has now offered me Rationales Niacinamide Serum to use. Well if it's a miracle why wasn't I offered this before? I think its just grasping at straws. My skin is tolerating it but not sure if the redness or irritation or laser line marks will ever go away. It's hard to stay positive and I have basically become a hermit. If this is what I have to live with forever then I don't know what I'm going to do. I would not recommend laser to my worst enemy.
