Thanks for the encouragement! I am super happy with the way my scar looks, not so happy with the swelling. I just wish there was something I could do to help it subside more quickly! Your pics look so good!
Thanks for your feed back! I started working out as soon as my PS allowed me to do so (same as you, 4 weeks). In the past week I have also started to really ramp it up... doing intervals on the treadmill, back with strength training, etc. I'm not concerned that I'm swollen, more just annoyed. I read some peoples' reviews that say how great they look by 6 weeks and I'm just not really seeing it. My PS said everything looked great and I know it takes time. I just need to work on my patience I suppose!
How are you doing? My upper abs are ridiculously hard, like a rock, so I think its pretty normal. I thought by this time I'd be less swollen, but I don't think I'm helping myself out with all the activities I've been doing.
Yay so excited for you! Can't wait to see your results, which I'm sure will be fabulous. My PS also gave me cephalexin and let me tell you, it smells and tastes terrible, even though it is in pill form.
i'm at 3 weeks PO today and still feel twinges of pain and am not completely straight up yet either. it just takes time. don't try to rush anything. it's hard to remember that this was such a major surgery when you're back to feeling somewhat normal... but it was! and things will take time. I'm starting to become impatient because i am ridiculously swollen and i don't feel like i look any different than preop, but my surgeon says everything looks good. so patience my dear, patience.
