I am sure you're going to love the results. Just be sure to keep in mind that they are not instantaneous! It took you awhile to loose your weight, and it is also going to take awhile to heal from these surgeries too. You should realistically start seeing the begining of your results at the 6 week post op mark, and your final results anywhere between 6 months to a year. The bruising will go away fairly early on, but the swelling will go up and down and remain for quite some time. Keep your head up and trust your surgeon. Try not to panic if the results aren't there in just a few days. Many of us go into cosmetic surgery with the belief that it is a "quick fix" or we think "I am going to wake up all better", when in reality that is not the case. Plastic surgery like you had, is a very invasive procedure that cause a lot of cellular "trauma". This is what is going to cause swelling and it is the swelling that will keep your from seeing your results quickly. So keep hydrated and follow your doctors instructions!

Wow, I am kind of surprised that you're unhappy with your post-op results! Looking at the pictures I see a remarkable difference in the "lift" of your right eyebrow. I think you look amazing! The arch is more defined at the space between your right eye and brow now appears symetrical with your left. I am kind of curious if you are just unable to see the difference between your before and after? I can assure you, I see a difference and not only do I think the result is beautiful, I also think it is natural and "opens up" your face!

Too much time is just too true!! I try not to look in to the mirror...or any reflective surface for that matter, for too long now. I told myself give it 3 months and THEN see where you're at! To think I was worried at DAY 9 haha!! Sometimes you just really have to get a grip and put certain things in perspective. "Duh Regina, you just had a scalpel slice two once inch incisions in each eye lid, had the skin removed in between and then a needle poke through those incisions to sew them together...there may be just a little swelling for a bit..." :) Oh, for anyone who opted to not look at photos or youtube videos for this, sorry for that visual!

P.S. the youtube videos are pretty cool!

I have had liposuction on several occasions. I actually just had my abdomen and flanks done 8 days ago. I like to wear a spanx body suit (thigh length) underneath, a binder on my waist, and then another spanx bodysuit on top. I find this offers the best compression and smoothes out the binder. I wear this combination for 6 weeks at all times, unless showering. I find a lot of people do not like the results of their liposuction, and when I ask how long they use compression, the answer is typically 2-4 weeks. From my experience this is not enough time. Liposuction is very rough on your cells and causes prolonged and extreme swelling. If you haven't seen a video of what liposuction looks like check it out some time! It is not a cheap procedure and if you would like solid results as well as a guarentee to protect your investment, I would highly recommend doing this. Remember it is 6 months before your cells can get rid of all the excess fluid and the swelling is gone.
