I have seen on here that a lot do take arnica however I did not. I highly recommend asking your PS if you should or can take anything ahead of time, mine did not recommend anything. I do recommend eating healthy ahead of time if you are not already doing so and go ahead and start drinking lots of water to help with cleansing your body out. Some people recommend about a week before your date doing a detox. My PS said I should not take anything herbal for at least 3 days before my surgery until further notice. I do recommend having plenty of tylenol and ibuprofen on hand for after you go off your pain meds, not that there is a lot of pain just discomfort. The lipo is the worst part but it is tolerable, the TT surgery it self is practically no pain at all. Your comment about the playground being closed is so cute. LOL My PS had told me 3 weeks but my husband and I waited until 5 1/2 weeks because of the tightness and the discomfort from the lipo areas. Having a understanding spouse is such an important part of your recovery. You are gonna have good days where it's almost like you are completely healed and then the next can be like you just came home from the surgery. My husband had a hard time adjusting to the quick changes, he figured if I was doing good one day the next would be the same or better. It does not work like that. Has your husband been on this site looking with you? I do recommend that any husband read a few of our stories on here so they can understand what the process and recovery is like. My husband understands now but that was only after I read him a few of the others stories.

I know how you feel, I was so horrified when I posted my pics from before as well but as soon as you start posting you new pics you will constantly go back to compare them. I was also so excited and that is all I talked about from the beginning until the day of the surgery. Now I can't stop looking in the mirror. I am only 4? (can't remember exactly) days PO and I am still getting smaller every week. You are right about the remodel comment, my husband says that I have changed so much since the surgery. My confidence level is higher than it has ever been and I have a constant smile on my face. I had some friends that didn't know what I did and when they seen me out they couldn't believe the difference. Not only do I look better physically but I am a lot happier and they say it shows. Time will fly by and your day is going to be here sooner than you think.

Hello, congrats on finally taking this step for you. Your story sounds a lot like mine. I struggled all my life with my weight and have never had a flat tummy, until now that is! ;) A few things that you want to make sure to have on hand. Frozen peas or some kind of icing packs. A large thermal cup to help keep your water cold because trust me you want to drink lots of water to help with the swelling. I wish I had planned better for my down time, I was so bored and that's when the emotional moods sneak up on you. So make sure you have books to read or puzzles to do, something to help pass the time. I found that these things were just as important as the medical supplies. Cough drops are also a good idea to have on hand. I also highly recommend you plan ahead and have a chair you can use for when you take a shower with non-skid bottoms of course. I wish you the best and I hope this has helped. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

You are looking wonderful... I hope you are feeling better, I had a few days of being very emotional and it does catch you off guard even if you think you are prepared for it. Wishing you the best and happy healing...
