  Hi! I just had IPL two days ago and I have burns on my forehead and neck. Today, the burns are scanned over but still painful. I've had IPL before, probably a total of 6, and NEVER had these symptoms before. I have olive skin and afraid once the scab falls off my skin will be darker. I called out of work this weekend because I look and feel awful :( I'm heading out of town in two weeks and don't even want to go looking like this. How long does it take for the scabs to fall off and my skin will be back to normal?

  So sorry about your experience. I had IPL two days ago and I have burns on my forehead as well as under my chin-neck area. The areas under my neck are very sensitive and painful. The med-spa I went to said this is normal but, I have had Photofacials before and never had these symptoms. Did you have discoloration once the scabs fell off? I'm Asian and have olive skin color, I'm afraid I'll have hyperpigmentation once my scabs fall off. I didn't go to work yesterday because I look awful! Vacation is in two weeks and I'm no longer excited :(

  Can you give me an update on your skin? I had IPL two days ago and I have burns on my forehead (similar to yours in the picture) and under my chin-neck area. I had IPL before but at another clinic, and never had these results.
