Ladies I had surgery with Robles on 1/3. It's been 5 weeks and in the mornings it is still a struggle to get out of bed. Throughout the day I'm at a 4 in pain but it is not easy so please be mentally prepared. Your entire body changes and some days you are extremely happy and other days you want to cry and scream because it is an emotional roller coaster.... I wouldn't change it for nothing in the world! I am so happy with my results, I feel like a new woman.... Now with that said it is painful! Lol.
No your regular doctor won't touch you or prescribe you any pain meds so make sure you bring some from DR because I didn't because I thought I wouldn't need any and boy was I wrong! I found a way to get some and there is a "doctor" in NY that everyone goes to. I'm not sure she is a legit doctor lol but she's good. So if you're from NY I can give you her info if not I would ask around your area or google blogs and posts before you leave
Yes she drained me every visit. I have been drained 3 times while in NY, I don't know I guess I just retain a lot of liquid. My drain slipped out while I was taking off my sweats on the 2nd day back in NY and the doctor had told me to keep it there until there was no more drainage or at least 3 days and it was still a few drops coming out and it wasn't the third day and I was panicking because I thought I was gonna get a hematoma! I was in tears but thank god I didn't because I've heard some horror stories with those drains. You're absolutely right about staying positive, they do say if you're positive and not stressed you heal faster. Have a safe flight!
You look great! I'm so glad that you're happy with the results already... I remember leaving DR after 12 days and feeling down because I was still swollen and leaking and had to leave with the drain attached (not the pump just the drain) but your spirit really makes me wish I had had a more positive outlook. I am currently 28 days post op and even though I am still in pain and still numb I am finally feeling happy with how I look. I also still have liquid in my back which the doctor in NY drains out and I actually have an appointment tomorrow to get a massage and the liquid taken out because it makes my back so itchy. Keep up the massages because it helps heal and I've definitely noticed the difference. Relax and enjoy the few days you have left in Santo Domingo! xoxoxo
