I will work on posting new pics tomorrow... I think I will have time. Do you sleep on your left side more? Our bodies tend to adjust, water, fluids and swelling seem to settle more in certain places. Just think how swollen your feet get after standing for 8-10 hrs.
I don't know if I have actually had a "This is it" moment...I remember feeling less puffy and swollen around week 9/10 but my DR wanted me to wait to go back to the gym until week 12. I may have cheated and gone to do a little cardio before then but I really needed to feel like I was working towards an end goal on my own level. Sitting around sedentary is not my style.
I feel like I am still changing, I got to a really good point at around 4 months PO but then picked up a little weight and had to work harder on my butt and legs again. My wieght has remained around the same since the surgery, I would like to lose another 5-10 lbs but am happy with where I am at right now. I had flank and inner/outer thigh lipo done. Than included my lower back, hips and sides as well as my inner and outer thighs.
It is actually a pretty simple workout plan, my fiance is working with me to get the rouble areas fixed for the wedding. I start out with 10 mins on the bike then I do 3-4 different ab exercises non-stop. We move to either upper body or lower body exercises (3-4 different ones) again non-stop. The key is to get your heart rate up during the bike ride and then keep it up forhte rest of the work out which usually takes about an hour to complete. For upper body stuff we do lateral pull downs, curls, push-ups, flys, pull ups, etc. For lower body we do squats, lunges, reverse lunges, butt thrusters and stair climbers.
I am almost at 6 months PO and I still have numbness along my incision line and centrally located above and below the scar. Now, as I am working out my mid section even harder, I can definitely tell a difference from the muscle repair. I have tightness along my abs and they are hard. I believe that is very normal as you are tightening those muscles more. I started using the Mederma Advanced Gel and it has dramatically changed the appearance of my scar. I only use it once a day and it is really helping to lighten the area. I still have some tenderness where my lipo was done on my inner thighs, do you? That is the only sensitivity issue that bothers me now. Also, my PS doesn't do Lipo directly above the incision so that the tissue can heal and come together better. I have a small bulge in that spot, only sometimes later in the day, that annoys me still. I am working extra hard to get the area as flat as possible.
