40andFabulous - Omaha, NE-8 days PO and feeling AMAZING!!!!!

Good morning all!!! I was thinking the same thing about the July peps that there were hardly anymore updates!!! I have been meaning to post and have just been so busy getting back to work!!! I am 9 weeks post op today and it has been quite a journey. I still have a small hole in the incision on my left side and as much of a pain as it is, it allows me to drain out the hole rather than going in every few days to be drained with a needle. I would say I still drain at least 50 per day if not more. I don't know why but it is what it is. I have an appointment this Friday and we will see what she says. I still have a great deal of swelling and my vajay jay looks like a ken doll still....i have my doubts that it will ever go down. Scar wise, it doesn't matter to me what it looks like, my double tire ring is gone forever and I am forever thankful for that. I have put on 5 lbs but am not to worried, as today will be my first day back at exercise. I never thought in a million years that it would 9 weeks before I could work out, and I still can't do any ab work but oh well. I still have to post pics but it still makes me sick to my stomach to see the before ones........I will get to it soon, I promise!!! Updates coming soon!!!! Thanks and happy healing!

Well, back to work today, drain free as of Friday but had to get seroma drained this morning too, and passed out. Weird!!! Only 35cc so not to bad. Was wondering where the 80-120 that I was draining was going to go. Looks like body is absorbing most. Have to go back Friday before the long weekend just to check everything else out. All seems to be good and it sure does feel good to have that damn drain out!! Everything else is good. No residual effects of the blood clot, but having blood tested once a week to be sure I am at a good level!! Happy healing all! Take care!

Well peps, I am day 31 and I still have a drain.......draining 50ish per day and needs to be below 30 to come out. Bottom line is it will be out no later than Aug 21....at that point it might start doing more harm than good. If feel like $999,995.00.....I would say a Million bucks but I need to deduct $5 for this drain!!! :o) Other than that I am fantabulous!!! I did go against the rules and showered yesterday. I was told there was to be no shower what so ever with the drain in, but I was getting so tired of wearing a trash bag around my middle while doing it and I did get all my stiches out Tuesday so I thought I'd give it a whirl!! I guess I have no one to blame but myself if it comes back to bite me in the @$$!!! Oh well, it was worth it!!! Well back to work....kinda like this working from home thing!! Come and go as I want into the basement...works for me!!! Well will keep in touch and good luck to everyone!!!!!

well gals, I am 20 days PO and I have to say, other than this last drain, I feel wonderful!!! I go tomorrow for my 3 week check up and I highly doubt I will get it out, as it is still draining 80 - 100 per day....it sucks really! I haven't had a real shower in 3 weeks and can't drive! Other than that, I really can't complain! I have yet to post pics as I am still grossed out at the before.......thank you all for helping me on this journey! I couldn't have done it without you all!!! Good luck and happy healing! WIll let you know what happens tomorrow!!!!
