Hang in there girls....I had my BR on 6/1 and it is 20 days now and I feel pretty good....I have been cleared to do anything (within reason) I have been doing everything house cleaning, ironing, grocery shopping (no heavy lifting yet) and I have gone to 2 spin classes this week (which felt great)...I am still tender but it is starting to get better...I get tired by the end of the day an I sleep well at night...
I have been using Aquaphor on my incisions and covering them with gauze and wearing sports bras and I am comfortable...and the incisions are healing welll....just alittle swelling under my arms and the ps said the swelling could be for 4 to 6 months...so I have started stretching out that area..
All in all after surgery time goes at a more normal pace..no more draging...so hang in there all will be fine. And you will love it!.....I am now a perfect C and it looks great!
Just wanted to check in and say hello....sounds like all of you are pretty normal in the healing department....glad to read you are all doing so well....
I am not missing the old girls one bit....sorry to report that I finally saw my mom on fathers day and her reaction was "Hugh" and a shrug of her shoulders...like "no blig deal" didn't even ask how I was feeling....she needs to go to a class in mothering...she should have it down by now....Oh well I am happy with how it looks.
I was saying that I have been using Aquaphor on my incisions and placing gauze over them daily and it seem to be keeping everything healing well...any spots that were ouzing or alittle open are not anymore..the tenderness is getting alittle better. I have been cleared to do whatever I want and I have...just not lifting anything heavy yet. I have been doing housework, and grocery shopping and have gone and done a couple of spin classes...which feel great....I still get tired mid day...and sleep well at night...just experiencing alittle swelling under my arms and the ps said that would be for 4 to 6 months...trying to stretch that area out..but it has been 20 days and all is pretty good!
I saw a girl at the gym who has big boobs yesterday and I felt sorry for her :(...and good for myself!
Happy Healing all everyone sounds like they are doing pretty well.
Just checking in to see how you are doing...the big day is coming.....just thinking about you and wishing your date were here for you...soon...
I doing well...still a little tender...but I have been cleared to do anything (within reason) and I have been doing all sorts of things...grocery shopping (I have not been lifting heavy objects yet)....laundry....ironing....spin class....feeling well, just a little swelling under my arms and the ps said that would be for 4 to 6 months....I am trying to stretch the area out....hope that helps...
Have been using Aquaphor on my incisions and then covering with gauze pads daily since end of last week....it really seems to help healing....when she removed the steri strips I had areas that would ouze alittle and a few areas that looked alittle open, but the Aquaphor did help. It is a skin protectant.
I have just been dealing with soreness around my rib cage area....I was told I could do whatever I felt like within reason and I have been doing all sorts of things, spin class....house work...grocery shopping...ironing....just not lifting heavy things...I tend to swell by my sides underarms and it is still bruised (yellow). But I am now trying stretching that area out so I will see if it helps.. they said the swelling could last 4 to 6 months....otherwise feeling well...still tender....
Went to another post op today with the PS...all is healing well...I can resume any activity except swimming....they said I would be able to tell what I can and cannot do by how uncomfortable I am....Go slowly they said....I can also wear any bra that is comfortable now without a wire though. I should also start putting lotion on my scars...So that is great news.
I have been feeling pretty good, less tender, but still swollen....I also have alot of energy then all of a sudden...I'm tired and will take a nap...but I am doing more and more now...I found out they took 503Km or grams? from the right and 535 from the left.. Amen!
Glad to read you are all doing well.....It's two weeks tomorrow for me! Hard to beleive....
Hang in there all....Deb in the uk ....it's will be here soon....thinking of you.
