No offense taken. I thank you for your in-put. Yes it is time to stop. I've been telling myself this for the past 3-4 years. I'm starting to wean off them and I have purchased the disposable cigarettes to help out. I KNOW I'll feel much better. And yes, the pain of trying to stop this addiction is petty compared to losing a loved one. Me of all people should know that since I have list so many myself. Hoping next time I post, I'll be smoke free. Again thank you

Yes I understand the reality if smoking and the effects it has on healing. But in my case I didn't have any problems with that process. Everything went well He did the surgery knowing I smoked. With that said, all I wanted was an " uplift" since my jowls and neck returned short of 2 years. I was shocked that he wouldn't perform this simple surgery unless I stopped smoking completely. I choose to smoke and have cut down dramatically. He also stated that it would cost me half of what I paid. And since I had it done in the early years it isn't much. I do feel this played a huge factor in his decision. Yes this does pertain to LSL since my face fell within 2 years of the surgery. As someone stated, it's just a quick pick me up. I should have saved up and waited for a face lift that would have lasted 10 years or more. The LSL is short term

Had mine done in 2008. Was not up and at work in a few days as they promised, but it was great at first. Smooth face and no more turkey neck..... But, short of 2 years later, the neck and jowls started coming back. Called the office I had procedure and set up an appointment to see what they could do. I was told by the doctor that performed on me that he could do an "uplift" for 1/2 the initial cost but then told me he was not performing surgery on people who smoke. I smoked when I had it done in 08. I dont smoke alot but he changed up the rules. Today, looks like I havent had any work done. Jowls and loose neck are here to stay
