Just hang in there, many women have gone down this road and have no regrets in having the treatment, one of them is me. Just remind ursrlf what ur skin looked like before treatment and 1-3 mths after treatment. No regrets.

Did you go to a qualified Dermatologist for this? Only Dr's can administer a fraxel session and anyone else who is not trained will mess up. You will get better just be patient ...you will see amazing results. Also the reason your skin might be redder than most is that they could have gone deeper into the dermal layer of your skin where pigmentation is made. this could have increased your redness.

Fraxel has minimal down time , 1 week no more...and then only due to the flaking, the results are certainly worth waiting for believe me. After 3 mths you will notice your skin rejuvenating and looking youthful, lines that were there are filled up. Give it time. Cant understand why you would have had so much redness unless they used a diff laser tip and your skin is extra sensitive, nevertheless the benefits outweigh the short term discomfort. I am due to have my annual fraxel (11th one) soon so will post my results on here soon. Good luck ,Danielle from Cape Town

No Megan its not a pain u cant tolerate and besides u have an anasthetic on ur skin, the heat from the laser lasts abt 2 hrs after treatment but with icepacks on ur cheeks and using the right mosturizes by the time u get home from ur treatment ur face has cooled down dramatically.... The discomfort is worth the result and since most of us have had babies and gone thru normal deliveries, its nothing compared to the pain of childbirth!! Worth it, will do it every year!

I have had 9 fraxel treatments for pigmentation that was caused by me taking StJohnsWort and subsequently caused photosensitivity which led to brown patches all over my face. I highly recommend fraxel for this the pigmentation has gone snd its left me looking 10 yrs younger, everyone has commented on how grear my skin is looking. Yes the latest technique creates more flaking but its the body's way of stimulating more collagen and shedding the old skin and pigment. The treatment is worth every cent I paid nearly $900 per treatment.
