hi felicitygal just to say i had my pips out five months ago after having them 12 years. it was the best body decision i have ever made. i know exactly how you feel and i know you wont regret it. please read my profile, i think you can click on my name to find it as it will be several pages back... even though my boobs are scarred and stretched i LOVE them!! and i am so much more happier and content with my body. good luck on your journey x

    clare,

congrats with your explant. i can imagine you were worried about how they were changing during the short time you had them - you were right to have them out sooner than later. (and certainly its nice that this removal was free!!)

i'm so glad though that you now have a nice new partner who is supportive. just see getting rid of the implants as the final part of getting rid of the insecurity that you had when your confidence was taken away from you. at least now youre 100% you, and its great that your new partner wasnt pressing you for a replacement - he sounds fab!! i am now flat, but i LOVE my new chest. i feel so feminine and so confidnent. like you i'm 5ft 8 (ish) and 9.5 stone. when i go to the gym, all of the women with athletic bodies have smaller breasts - i must have looked really fake before!!! and the girls i see with fake boobs, i actually feel sorry for as i know one day they may face problems with capsular con, find out that they have the next pip style scare (like i did), or just have the hassle and pain of replacement or having them out. i'm so glad i'm off that treadmill as it is low level stress and actually for me, i was still the girl with small boobs and no body confidence, even though i had these massive fake looking balls!!

anyway, just a little support...give it time. read my profile if you get a few minutes.

hope the recovery goes well. laura x

    hi there

i completely understand where youre coming from with the 'fake' feeling, and if you feel like that now only after a few months (rather than in love with your boobs as they are so new), then you are definitely making the right decision with explanting as i imagine you would probably feel the same with a smaller implant.

you looked a lovely shape before and its been very recent, so i'm sure your surgeon is being honest about your result. in anycase, i had my implants removed after 11 years and after two pregnancies. theyre droopy, stretchmarked and empty, but i LOVE them as theyre mine!!! i am so much more confident and feel so content that i'm now 100% me!

good luck with your journey x

fab news about you having your surgery an i'm sorry to hear that youre in daily pain.

in the grand scheme of life this is the start of a lifelong journey into a soft implant free body. its already been two months since your first consultation, so not too long to go now. the most important decision has already been made, so well done on that!! your date will soon be here!
