Hello everyone, just updating you on Amy's status. It's been a very rough day for Amy, but hopefully getting better. I'm actually typing this out groom my cell phone from the emergency room :(. Around 3:00am this morning Amy started experiencing intense nausea from her pain medication and antibiotic. The nausea turned into vomiting, and eventually dry heaves when her stomach was empty. I called and spoke with the surgeon who called in a prescription for nausea medication at my local pharmacy. I picked up the prescription and gave it to Amy, but she didn't see any results. Unfortunately the nausea, dizziness, pain, and overall discomfort became too unbearable that I brought her to the ER. She's been given an IV for dehydration, medication for nausea, and morphine for pain. She's slowly coming back around, and feeling more like she did a day ago. She's been worried about nausea even prior to surgery, and unfortunately it caught up to her. She thinks the intensity of the nausea was due to lack of eating with medication, no nausea medication, and the normal side effects of the pain and antibiotic medicines she was prescribed. Hopefully this ER trip gets her back on the path to recovery. Overall, she's still optimistic and upbeat. As she feels better, she'll be back to blog. We'll also post new photos in the near future.
