Thanks for checking in, Meghan. No, I have not scheduled appt. wit the neurologist yet. I did see my ophthalmologist again today. She put a prism into my sunglasses so I can use them. BTW, my MRI was fine. I am so anxious-- driving my family crazy! My ophthalmologist, I think, wants to cover herself and who can blame her? I'd do the same, if I were she. But now I am wondering if I have some auto immune disease such as myestenia gravis. Can Dysport bring on an auto immune problem? Yes, I do have quite an imagination...
hi! wondering how you are doing these days? it's about a year since this post (of yours) and I am experiencing what, it seems, you experienced. I am not sure I am navigating this site properly, may have written you before, but my distance vision is highly impaired. Occurred 9 days post Dysport. Had MRI (results fine) had all ophthalmoligical (sp) exams (results fine) and now am referred to a neurologist. Depressed, anxious and, absolutely will never do Dysport again. I am hoping/praying that my symptoms are, in fact, related to Dysport. Can you tell me how you are doing? Thanks
Hi, I've posted here recently regarding my problems after Dysport. Blurry and double vision at a distance. I have been through all opth. exams, MRI and now my opth. wants me to go to a neurologist. I am wearing a plastic prism in my left eye glass lens (the eye that is problematic) but without my glasses (and the prism) , I cannot see further than about 4 feet without serious blurrieness. It is so disturbing. Now I am worried that there is more wrong with me. My opthalmoligist (sp?) has given me some examples of what this could be: myestenia gravis for instance. I have NEVER had a problem like this before Dysport. Can anyone say anything to talk this very worried gal off the ledge???? Would appreciate it. Jennifer
I will get results from my MRI in the next few days. With any luck, the Dysport is the cause of my vision problems. Meanwhile, I thank you for your posts. Seems like a huge price to pay in order to look a few years younger.
Hi! I am hoping to hear from more folks who have/had double vision or blurry vision after dysport. I've been going through such a difficult time. My eye doctor had me have an MRI today to make sure the vision disturbances are not coming from my brain. You go to a doctor for a cosmetic procedure and 12 days later you are having an MRI of your brain. I never would have imagined... If others will weigh in on how long their blurry/double vision lasted after dysport to the eye area, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
