Jeez, sorry I didn't see this post. My surgeon did do lipo over my umbilicus to fade into the upper abdomen. I know she did this because of the marking pre-op. No muscle tightening over my umbilicus, only the lower abdomen. After my surgery I was afraid that I should have done the full TT but I was just flabby after not working out for 2 months and my upper abdomen looks much better now with exercise. If there is a doubt about the condition of your upper abdomen then you have to go for the full TT or you will probably regret the mini TT.
My scar is still healing. Half of it has faded white and half is still pink in color. You sound like me, Kitten--kid damage ravaged my abdomen, too. My co-workers still think I was crazy for getting my gut cut on but it is so worth it. I love rocking the narrow cut t-shirts now because my belly is so flat. I don't have to worry about constantly tugging my shirt down to cover my flab. I wish I would have had this surgery done 4 years earlier when I had my augmentation (my kid thrashed my boobs, too). Please keep me posted on your thoughts about your own mini-TT.
I am a tad fluffy around my love handles from the lipo and a tiny bit in my stomach. My stomach looks amazing though. I keep staring at it sideways in the mirror. I have never had such an awesome stomach.
