The price you paid was truly a 'good deal'. I've noticed that people are paying twice that and are miserable with their results. Your MD definately knew her stuff. Your results look fantastic. You really need to post the name of your doctor.
Yes, I've had 'the bumps'before. as long as they were on the inside of my lip-not noticeable- and I had no pain, I was fine. Actually, I think this is more common thn uncommon. However, I began treatments at another center and never experienced bumps. Med Spas are less expensive than seeing a plastic surgeon. There are a lot of RNs that are transitioning into cosmetic procedures with little experience. My girl here in Pasadena is one of those transitioning RNs but she's brilliant and the results are fantastic without paying $$$$ for an MD. Hit and miss.
I was thrilled with my own results, however, after the minor swelling went down I noticed light yellow bruising under both eyes which lasted a week. Afterwards, there was a noticable, but minor, ridge under both eyes that lasted three months. I wore sunglasses. After three months, everything smoothed out and looked great for another 5months. The filler needs to be injected down to the bone. In the future, I'll ask for half of the amount my nurse suggested. With lips, the process is easy. But under the eyes, you really need to have someone, like an experienced physician, to do the work. Med Spa's are fine for Botox and lip fillers, but the eye area is a whole 'nother beast.
Did they massage the filler after they injected it? I've had the same procedure four times and was very happy with results. I suspect the filler wasn't injected deep enough. I'm caucasian and wonder if you have asian skin which is (I assume) more delicate. Very odd that you have a ridge based on my own experience.
I've had two different experiences. The Botox worked immediately-the nurse emphasized that it was a 'fresh' batch. She told me to lift my eyebrows up and down immediately after the injections and I was told to do this throughout the day (to work the Botox into the muscle group I suppose). The other experience, at a different office, it took almost a week to work. Because of my first experience, I was alarmed and felt ripped-off. Even called the next day to complain. I was told that it may take a few days (which it eventually did). But why such different results??? Fresh vs. old? Dilution ratios? Anyway, I'm sure you'll be fine. If no results after a week I'd be making a call !
