It doesn't sound like there is much consistently in how these lasers operate. I spoke with an esthetician this past week about an IPL laser and all she would tell me is that she doesn't do them anymore and had to send her laser machine back because it wasn't operating correctly.

I haven't had any laser genesis treatments yet. they want to redo the vein treatment, which tells me that neither the first vein treatment nor the IPL worked on reducing the broken capillaries.

Well so far that is what I did. I told them I had not prepared for a $300 service so I only paid $150. Then they told me they would call me about the mistake and what they would do, but no one has called. Thanks so much for your comments.

I hope so. Thanks. You know, I didn't even get anything written on what to expect after the procedure or any side affects. So, I didn't know what the redness means.

I recently started treatments for broken capillaries on my face. I had a consult and the dr. recommended 1 type of laswer treatment for the viens followed up with laser genisis. Well, the results of the first treatment were not apparent. And I went back to start the laser genesis, which I was told would also help the broken capillaries. The treatments were $150 per session. After the session, which was a lot more invasive than I thought it should be from the consult, I was told the cost of the treatment was $300. Well, needless to say I was shocked. I asked them how the treatment went from the $150 which was written in my chart to $300? That is when I found out the lady did not do a laser genesis treatment but instead performed the ipl laser treatment. I asked why the treatment was changed from what the dr. recommended and wrote in my chart? I wasn't given an answer. Now, my face is really red and I have more broken veins than I did before the treatment. It has been a short period ot time since the treatment so I don't know what to expect over the next week. The office was supposed to contact me about their mistake in treatments, but of course no one has contacted me. I am hoping my skin is not damaged permanently from a treatment I did not even ask for.
