I am a chronic headache patient who had Botox injections by a dermatologist 2/12 in my forehead strictly for cosmetic reasons. Subsequently I had the most severe headache of my life that lasted for 5 weeks. Nothing took away the pain, I struggled through it. My forehead looked great. My dermatologist did not believe that the Botox could cause my headache, and told me I should get my headaches checked out. This infuriated me as I have been under the care of a neurologist for 30 years! I am now seeing one of he most highly regarded headache specialists in the nation. Yes, Botox can cause these severe headaches in a small percentage of patients! He treats headache patients with Botox, but some can have the adverse reaction of a terrible headache! Drs. That administer Botox need to know this. I will use other alternatives for cosmetic procedures, and I will not be going to the dermatologist that was trying to make me seem like the crazy one! So thankful to my neuro for having my headaches under control!

Any recommendations on detox or herbal products that may help get Botox out of system faster? Also, read that exercise with a lot of sweating may speed things up? Wish I had my own sauna! I have trips planned every weekend this spring, my son's high school graduation, and my jewelry design business that I can't even think about because of this headache! I feel like my life is so screwed up right now, I just want to crawl in a hole. I am back to a place I was many years ago with my headaches and it is a dark scary place. All because of something that was supposed to be harmless and would make me happier about my appearance! I am pretty and vibrant when I feel good, I hope I can get back there soon.
