It went great. I feel better about myself than I have in years. I was going to replace them with smaller ones, but the idea of going through surgery every 10 years, not to mention the expense really swayed me. I'm really happy with my choice, You can see my story on my profile, click on my user name. Good luck!
I hope your surgery went well and you are enjoying some down time. I'm sure you are sore and out of sorts, but take the time to be treated like a princess and waited on by your friend and husband. It's also a good time to sleep like a cat and not feel guilty about napping! I enjoyed sitting around watching movies and having my fiance do everything for me. Plus my friends would drop by and bring me new bras. It was almost like my birthday! Oh wait, it actually was my birthday....hehe.
When I bend over the flesh around the scar looks inverted. My doctor says it is the scar tissue underneath. He has me place two fingers on the scar and press, massaging the scar tissue underneath. It seems to be getting better. If you are only two weeks out then I wouldn't dwell on it too much yet. My doctor gave me the go ahead to start massaging the tissue at 2 months, and said that it will take a couple of months of massaging to break up the scar tissue. So give it some time. Your body is amazing and can heal from just about anything!
Newdawn.....you will do great! Since you have saline the surgery should be pretty easy. It sounds alot scarier than it actually is. Like GreenTemple says, getting them out is way easier than getting them put in. Yes, it is surgery, and it is always scary to go under, but your body will heal quicky once the foriegn objects are out. The pain is minor compared to the original surgery, and you should feel back to normal quickly.
Also, give yourself some time to heal and let your body bounce back. When I first explored getting mine out I was so afraid that the results would be saggy, empty sacks of flesh and that I would need a lift. But my skin contracted and the natural tissue fluffed up, and they look like completely normal, perky little breasts. Many people find that if they wait about 3 months they don't feel like they need a lift at all.
Once you have them out you will feel so much better about it all. I am so happy I had it done, as I feel natural and free. I didn't realize how much those big beach balls got in my way and looked so freakish! I love the feel of my natural breasts, and feeling more athletic and healthy. I have a wonderfully supporting man in my life, and it helps so much. Let your husband be there for you, he sounds like a wonderful man.
You will do great and feel so much better! Good luck!
Yes, I have become breast obsessed! I'm always spotting implants now! It is too funny.
I had a capsulectomy only on the side that I had capsular contracture. No problems with either side now. The only issue I have is my nipples pull and pucker around the scar when I bend over. Not hot. I try not to bend over without a bra on in front of my husband, because it makes me feel very self concious.I think it is getting better, and massaging the scar seems to help. Other than that, I am thrilled with my results!
