My surgeon would not do a capsulectomy under local. They said it would be far to painful. I have to tell you that the mount of pain I awoke in was significant. He removed both capsules and ere was a lot is scarring. I think the implants added a lot o my back pain. I like you had sub pectoral implants.

My surgeon did not hunk I would need a lift and recommended waiting at least 6 months after the explant to even insider a lift.

    Beinspired ,
Thank you! I am not sure why it hurt so bad for me. I think I have a rather low pain tolerance and I do occasionally have to take lortab for my back pain (which I am hoping will go away now after the procedure!). I a not nieve to the pain medicines. I will tell you though that even though this past week was painful, I am soooo glad I did it. He did remove the capsules on both sides and scar tissue on both as well. I think the drains were really uncomfortable but needed.

I would just recommend being out of work for a week if you can. At least this way if you have pain you can deal with it and not worry about work!

Keep me updated! Good luck and don't worry...you'll be glad you have done it when it's over!

    Nani001,
I have three children six and under so I understand! Work was rough near the end today but at least I made it almost the entire shift. How are you? I'm glad you're not in pain. Mine is less each day though still quite uncomfortable as the day progresses. I hope you continue to do well! I'm so glad the surgery is behind us!

My implants were sub pectorals with contractures. The only option was removal at a surgery center.... The fees were 2000$ for the surgeon, 775$ for anesthesia and I think 1600$ for the surgery center. I was under general because I was told that with the contractures and scar tissue I would not tolerate local Mac. That being said I woke up in so much pain so I'm glad I was out during the surgery. Best of luck arranging your explant. Keep us updated!!!
