Yeah, neurotin made me really sleepy too and same with Tylenol 3, but the codein takes the pain away better than the neurontin did. Lidoderm was great for providing a barrier between my clothes and the pain on my stomach.
Tylenol 3 also works for the pain! I wasn't convinced, but after trying it, Tylenol 3 worked better for the pain than Neurontin or Lipoderm did for me. Just something else to try if Neurontin or Lipoderm patches don't work for you as they didn't work so well for me.
I noticed that my stomach has flattened a little ever since the 1 month mark. It isn't drastic, but I do notice that my stomach doesn't protrude out as much as it used to. I am still hoping for better results, so I will post a picture at the 2 month mark. If the results are more noticable before then, I'll post at that time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!!
true2u. how do i put this nicely. please keep those opinions to yourself. you have no idea what the pain feels like until you've experienced it. you obviously have not. too bad.
Dr. Weiner, it's great that you are taking notice of those of us with this issue. Please pass the message along to your colleagues at the next medical conference that there are enough of us with the extremely painful experience. It may only affect 5 or 10% of patients, but you still owe it to your patients to warn them in case they happen to be one of the unlucky ones. I really wish someone had warned me.
