Be careful about the size because you can feel them bouncing if you like to run. I was unable to run afterwards due to that problem.... May not happen to you, but just sayin'...

Hi Missy, no, I had saline. Probably around 2-5% of women get sick. Many don't. But I want people to know there is definitely a risk and if you start feeling sick with joint pain, weight gain and exhaustion DO NOT WAIT to get them out! You may be having a reaction and the longer you wait the worse it will get. Mine also had some mold which is common. I talked with a friend of mine I hadn't seen in years who works for a plastic surgeon and she said it's uncommon but they have had women come back who got them out because they got sick also. It was so not worth it for me, but I wish you the best of luck. you can also get an allergy test to see if you're allergic to silicone implants. Good luck and I hope all goes well :-)

Sorry about your problem. Dr. Melmed in Dallas TX is great. His staff is awesome and he doesn't rip you off. I was so relieved when I found them. They are sooo nice! Also, there's also a doctor named Susan Kolb in Atlanta who I've heard good things about. I read a post where they may be able to help you. I don't know why this isn't a medical problem! Sounds painful to me. Good luck.

Hi Dr Kolb, I had saline implants removed 1 1/2 yr ago. I'm still feeling pretty terrible. I'm currently undergoing PT due to my breasts becoming too large after getting so sick I now have disc bulge in my back. I've also been on several meds but can't seem to stop taking them I feel so sick. My breasts look fine. There was a small part of capsule left that couldn't be retrieved. Can you help me? My implants had mold. I still have them. Thanks.

Yes, so very sorry to learn of your loss. Hope your health improves and you mend quickly. Virtual hugs, too!
