i am wondering if you know what settings they are using on you? mine was 56 millijoules (mj) over most of my face, but 79 mj on the 2 deepest scars. I beleive it was a Level 7. Mine was painful (but I was able to tolerate). You said yours was not painful? What did they give you to make it more comfortable?
wow ebrush, I really see an improvement in your skin just after one week! It's nice to have pictures before and after so we can all see the change, thanks! i had my first Fraxel Restore a few weeks ago like you, for acne scars. i hope my doc will give me my before and after so i can post mine too. congrats on the improvement!
Your review is most consistent with my personal experience. I had my first treatmen 3 weeks ago and going for second in 3 more weeks. I am doing this for mainly acne scars. I already see about 20 percent improvement in scar depth overall. I am curios what settings are being used on you?
This is a serious procedure and you are paying a lot for it. If you can't get your concerns addressed with your doctor, that's not good. I had Fraxel Restore done for the same reasons as you and my provider was very thorough in explaining everything to me. They should have told you what to expect! The holes you are seeing could just be the columns of tissue the laser destroys (to prompt new collagen formation to plump out the scars). These turn into little brown dots (MENDS), which you are not supposed to scratch off. This is normal and they do shed. I would call your doctor and tell them you are not pleased and you are left uninformed. Maybe they will be happy to consult with you to address your concerns. If not, go somewhere else!!
My doctor has a nice set up to take before and after photos. You are right, it is sometimes difficult for one to see improvement over time without a photo to remind you.Right now I am 6 days post treatment and the little brown spots are mostly all flaked off. I have 3 minor pimples. Rosy glow. Next treatment in 5 weeks.
