Smooth Tuck. Gave Up 1/2 My Summer and It Was Worth it - New York, NY

Mrs. Sanguine, I don't know why RealSelf did not notify me when you continued your journal on this site. I even send you an email. I've been concern to see how you were doing and if you did get the Smooth Tuck. So glad you are doing well. Dr. Schulman is great. I had reply to your comments before you had the Smooth Tuck. I had my Smooth Tuck almost 2 years ago, love my stomach and it is still so firm and flat. I have mentioned that I am in my late 60s. A year ago, I did get lipo on my inner thighs because my waist and stomach is so small now and my thighs so big that the thighs pulled my pants down every time I walked. I do have some advice. The tightness gets much tighter if you gain weight. It helps me loss/keep the weight off. It is uncomfortable but I think it's great because it keeps me in control of what I eat. I think it's a bonus. Remember, the stomach is like a balloon so it expands pushing out every thing in front of it. I did not know this and did not see it anywhere. I think it's great but nice if I had known what to expect. I figured it out, that every time I gained the lbs. I lost, I felt very tight and I looked bloated. But I think this is a good thing. Enjoy your body. I was out and about in 3 weeks. I had a Smooth Tuck, Lipo on arms and chin, at once. I am so pleased and happy hope you are also.

I wish you all the luck and a very speedy recovery. I send a couple of pictures but they are not up yet. The staff at the Plastic Surgery Center are awesome. They are the sweeties and most professional. It's a happy place, if you can believe it, but it's true. The staff actually likes each other, and they love what they do, making it a more pleasant experience. Wishing you the very best.

Just remember, you are so much younger and will (probably) heal a lot better than I. Although I’m in my late 60s, I feel great. My stomach is very tight and ‘smooth.’ I went from a size (almost) 14 to a 10 and I’m still losing inches. My size 10 pants had to be altered. I do watch what I eat but the inches are coming off while I am still very firm and I am almost a size 8. Dr. Schulman is THE Doctor.

As far as his before and after pictures, he publishes only if the patients want him to. Not everyone wants their ‘body parts’ to be shown, even though he hides the face. What you see IS how people heal.

Keep us posted, and good luck. Believe me Smooth Tuck is great. The recovery is very short but since I had 2 other things done, it took a little longer. However, I was walking around, in NYC, in 3 weeks. Without the other surgeries, I would have been up and around earlier.

Fluffy1, you won't be Fluffy anymore. You don't say what your age is, but, you are going to love the results. After almost a year, I still cannot believe how great my stomach and belly button are.

Dr. Schulman is wonderful, he is so caring, gentle, but truthful. He makes you feel so comfortable (while naked,lol) that you can tell him anything. His products are great.
