Everything is going great! I haven't had a chance to upload any more images, but I'll try to do that soon. There's still some swelling (especially when I'm hot/exercise), but it's continued to go down. It's not as sensitive either, which is great. The only thing I know for sure is I have a natural tip that shows a line in the cartilage and that hasn't made it's appearance yet. Once I can see that again (which my Dr. said I would), then I'll know the swelling is down to normal. No complaints on my end though. :)
Hey mlle! I am super happy with Dr. Rawnsley's results. I was doubting things like crazy too, but he's awesome about talking to you as much as you need to. The first consultation was kind of a train wreck for me, so I had a phone conversation and THEN I went back to him for another consultation with my husband. That, along with seeing him the morning of the surgery, calmed my fears a lot. I was still scared something could go wrong, but it was worth the risk for me, which I think is the decision you have to make. Honestly, if you're going to do in LA I think he's the best option. He knows what he's doing but he's also very realistic about things and wont hesitate to be honest, which I love and needed in a doctor. He pulled back the reigns for me when I was getting a little to gungho about what might be able to be done to my nose. As far as the inverted V thing goes, I know now that that's not what's happening. There's been not a lot of change in the past few weeks, and I do believe him when he says it's a bone callus. I hope it goes away, but even if it doesn't I'm still so happy that the surgery went well, my nose is structurally sound (however weird that may sound), that it'll age well because of the technique used (certain grafts in certain places, I was double checking this), and it just looks like a better version of the nose I was born with.
As long as you're realistic that it's not going to be "perfect", I think you're on a great track for the right surgeon. Hopefully this helps, please don't hesitate to ask more!
Hey! Things are pretty much the same, swelling going down continuously but the bump still there. I'm choosing not to worry about it, I trust my doctor that it will go down. And, if for some reason it doesn't, then at least it's 100x better than it used to be. I'm so happy even with what I have now, it's such a breath of fresh air to not have to be aware of my profile and a crooked nose!
I see my Doc in a couple weeks and he'll let me know if I should continue doing it. I'm assuming the answer will be yes. I'll keep you posted!
Btw, you look lovely! So glad things are turning out. :)
Hey marmar84, so sorry I didn't see this earlier! I'm glad all my posting helped, there wasn't enough information when I was looking so I was hoping to fill in some gaps. And being swollen and unhappy with how it looks in the beginning is so GOOD. That means it'll reduce down into something you'll love. It really does change drastically the first few months, I'll post new pictures soon! Good luck with everything!
