Ok so I am scheduled for May 3rd!!!! I called at the end of February thinking I probably wouldn't get in until Fall/winter for a consultation but they were able to get me in for an April 3rd consultation & told me if I wanted to I could get on a waiting list for a March consultation if anybody cancels. So I was able to get in on March 13th. It's in Calgary & I live in Grande Prairie so we quickly went down. Anyway- I'm super happy with the doctor so far & have heard nothing but good things about him. Apparently my cousin actually knows him & said he is known for being a super perfectionist. I also heard that from other people....& they dont know each other. So hearing it from unrelated multiple sources is a good sign I'm thinking.
I am nervous but mostly excited. He just does a spinal anesthetic so recovery is supposed to be a lot easier...at least I shouldn't be so nauseous after. But now I'm re-thinking analyzing everything that was said at the consultation. I'm pretty sure he said he would do a MR. I definitely remember him telling me it looked like a I had severe muscle lax & that I would have a nice flat tummy after. He also told me that the scar would be very low for sure. I just wish I would have told him that it's important to me to get a MR. I just kind of assumed that he would & from the things he was saying to me it sounded like he was planning on it. But after reading someone's comments on here I'm wondering if I should have been more clear. Except that he seems pretty straight forward & clear himself, so I guess that made me feel like all my questions were getting answered without me having to ask them. & I think that's pretty much the case & I'm just being paranoid.
Another thing that I REALLY liked about him. He told me that my diet was very important. He kind of gave me a lecture about eating properly (in a good way) I already workout regularly & try to watch what I eat but not nearly as much as I should.
He told me tht I was a perfect candidate for a tummy tuck & that patients like me are generally ecstatic with the results. He just liked that I was expecting/hoping him to fix whatever I could not with exercise & diet. So anyway- apparently I'm a great candidate.
Looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts on here & hopefully get some good tips for recovery as well.
I Just scheduled a consult with him for a TT. They said they are booking surgeries for March already. I will be waiting until May or June to have the surgery as that is when my mom is back & can help me with the kids. I would love to see pics.
