I had my drains in for quite awhile too! My PS did not use lidocaine, she just yanked them out. It felt super weird but my tummy was already numb so not painful, just weird....hard to describe the feeling. Like you, I was anxious for the drains to come out. I have had no problems since my surgery (3/22/12) and am LOVING my results!
Hi suejohn, I can say that @ 2 weeks I was feeling alright. I drove myself to my 2 week post-op appointment (about an hour away). My drains were removed at that appointment and I was fine to drive myself home. Everyone heals differently though.
You are looking good! Just wait and see how different you will look as the swelling goes down. You may not feel like there is mych swelling but as the days go by you will see. Keep on doing what you are doing.
Thanks candyp, I hope your holiday is great! Did you see the message I left on your blog about the compression garment I have? I like it and have noticed a big difference in the ammount of swelling in a short time. I know it is hard but stay positive and take care of yourself.
Hi candy, glad to hear your ps is being more personable! I got my compression garment from my ps and it is great. There is a website on the label it is www.DesignVeronique.com, maybe you could check it out. Mine is crotchless and goeas from mid thigh to just under breasts. I hope this helps you!
