Hi. I went to {edited} and highly recommend her. You wouldn't be able to swim until you aren't wearing the garment. At least 4 weeks. I was back to my exercise routine at 5 weeks. Good luck!

Hi Angela, Have you taken your garment off to shower yet? I noticed the biggest portion of my bulge was gone when I showered for the first time. It continued to get smaller from there and still looks better each day. My biggest advice to you is to get back to exercise as soon as you can and try to lose weight. I have lost 7 pounds since my surgery and am feeling great. I am sure that by June 13 you will look great in your gown with a nice smooth tummy! Good luck and congratulations! Oh, and I wanted to add that taking a vicodin with a valium together really helps the pain. You can expect to have some zinging pains in the next few weeks. Sometimes they were pretty bad for me and I'd take a pain pill. My doctor gave me 30 pills and I took them all over the course of 4 weeks. Hang in there!

indig0m0m: I saw my doctor on Friday for 5 week post-op visit. She was very pleased with my progress and so am I. She told me I could stop wearing my garment which I was very glad for. My stomach is now mostly hard. I think that is from the scar tissue. She said it will begin to soften and become supple and will look totally natural between 3-6 months. Don't be too discouraged. It really does take the body some time to get over the trauma. I start walking for exercise after 2 weeks, but I just returned to my aerobics class this past week, after 4 weeks had gone by. The garment also makes it hard to be as active so just be patient. The belly looks the best after I first wake up so I will be happy to get some pictures in the morning and post them. During the day with lots of activity it swells a bit more. The doctor told me that what it looks like first thing in the morning will give me more of an idea of what the final result will be. Hang in there!
