hi FJessie, I have Dercums Disease too...after becoming terribly sick and being misdiagnosed for years with kaiser I finally flew out to San Diego to see Dr. Herbst the only specialist I have ever heard of that treats it. I was diagnosed with DD diffuse type and lymphedema ty pe 2. Its very rare, but I think its also very misdiagnosed!
Northern I'm not a doctor but I have Dercums Disease and this sounds just like it! please google that name or Adiposis Dolorosa for more information as there are things that can help, but not cure. It is a very painful disorder = normal lipomas are generally NOT painful.
