I agree! Wish I could turn back the clock! I also have dry eye, scarring on corners of both eyes and a retraction of one lower lid. I am looking into having the scars minimized by laser, and the retraction improved with fillers. So sorry I ever did this!!
Are you looking into revision? Good luck to you!
I had the same experience. I had an ectropion under one eye that is not completely healed and scarring on cormers of both eyes. If I could turn back the clock I would! I don't recommend this surgery to anyone. We all heal differently and the results are different also. Even researching the best doctor doesn't guarantee a good result. My doctor reacted the same as yours did and now I am looking to do a revision. The other doctor I consulted, wants to use laser for the scarring and for the retraction wants to use a filler. I haven't made up my mind. The best to you.
Again, differing suggestions and solutions. Plastic surgery is constantly evolving. When one alters the face in any way, you have to be prepared for possible unpleasant consequences. We all heal differently, and doctors operate differently. Just look at the popular magazines that feature the movie stars. Some look good and some look awful, and you know they have the finances to get the best doctors.
can you believe this? Most of the doctors say that scarring is minimal? And will not show as much? What about surgery that was done by an inexperienced surgeon? Scarring will definitely appear and will be difficult to erase, even with a surgeon that has done many of these procedures. There is not a 100% assurance that there will be no scarring.
Well, here we go again. Different opinions. Always. I guess a patient has to go with their gut feeling on choosing a surgeon and hope and pray for the best result. Seems like it is a game of Russian roulette.
