  • Posted to Fraxel Laser for Third Degree Burn Scars? on 21 Sep 2012

i too have 3rd degree burns from a dr using too high laser settings...I had approx 6-8 fraxel restore treatments w/ little results that I could see. I had great results w/ medical tattooing at breaking up the "thickness" and the ropey-type bands that formed. It's hard to find someone to do them tho... good luck! Unsure

3 years later and NO it is not better. My scars were made the second the doctor touched the laser to my skin. I thank God that it didn't kill me. Also the dr that did this doesn't have malpractice insurance. I go to trial March 2013 and am praying for a jury's compassion. Only 15% of medical malpractice trials win.

it's made summer a NIGHTMARE I too was badly burned and can never wear sundresses, swimsuits or even normal blouses. This thing should be taken off the market. I am suing and go to trial December BUT the doctor that burnt me has no malpractice insurance. I had NO IDEA!

please get in touch with me...I have some hope for you....I too was badly scarred and YES you can sue for disfigurement...this laser was not designed for use on neck or chest AND not for any redness....I have "been there done that" BUT there are things you can do that will help.
