What a bummer, I'm so sorry to hear that! I know how stressful it is right before surgery, adding family issues would have been unbearable for me. Don't worry, time will fly by and you'll be on the other side before you know it! Wishing you lots of love and strength.

I cannot believe that no one has called to check up on you! The day after surgery my surgeon, the anesthesiologists office and the nurse from the surgery center called to see how I was doing. When I had those dizzy issues and I called the office it was after hours, I left a message and my doctor called me back about 20 minutes later, talked to me for 15 minutes and then told me to call the office in the morning. They open at 9 am and at 9:05 his nurse called me! I'm really glad that they've been so wonderful, but it makes me sad that other people don't have that same great after care. I would feel lost without the support!

I'm post op day 12 now and I can honestly say that I feel about 97%! I wouldn't have said that on day 6 tho, I thought I was in for a long long recovery, but boy did it turn around...

I had that same weird dizzy lightheaded feeling post op days 5 and 6. I called my doctor and after we talked he said that he thought it was a combination of me cutting back on the narcotics, as I'd only been taking them first thing in the morning and before bed the two days before that, and drinking excessive amounts of water and flushing out all of my electrolytes. I probably drink 15-20 eight oz glasses of water a day normally, so when I was told to drink lots of water after surgery, I did! Too much water is appearantly just as big of an issue after surgery as too little water. I finally shook that feeling about half way through day 7, I was freaking out about it, I was sure something was seriously wrong. Don't worry, it'll get better! You look fantastic!
