I was really apprehensive about the procedure. Xanax 30minutes prior REALLY helped. I was not aware of any cutting--absolutely nothing. And no discomfort. Even the lidocaine shots didn't bother me. The second day I started to have some discomfort that Tylenol wasn't controlling so I had a prescription called in for some Vicodin. Definitely helped and I only needed it a couple of days. So don't be afraid
But I would say be sure to get your doc to give you something for anxiety beforehand and you will barely notice a thing. I am so happy I did this! I wish I had done it sooner.

No, it doesn't really feel tight, just odd and a bit uncomfortable. For example, if I touch above my eyebrows, I feel it there and on the top of my head (!) My forehead and top of head in general feel as if I have a bad sunburn. It's sometimes a bit painful to wash my face near my upper forehead. I see the doctor next week so I'll ask about it, but I'm not too worried. I understand the intent of the procedure is to cause injury beneath the dermis, far down, to produce a healing response thus creating collegin.

Day three post Ultherapy and I'm strangely swollen, especially across the bridge of my nose and my eyes. I'm guessing this is from the lidocaine?
