Hi, I wonder if you could tell me what exactly you had done; the price you mention is so low compared to doctors here in the Toronto area. Thanks, Lila

Hello again, just wondering how the patient facilitator gets paid - does the patient pay her up-front, or is it somehow included in the fees you pay? thanks again.

Hi, how can Sheri Burke be reached? What is the name of the clinic, because I would like to have work done but cannot afford Canadian prices. Thank you very much for your post.

I am 58 and most people thought I was 50 before doing laser. I had smartxide full face and neck done just before Xmas; I had eyes (upper and lower), forehead and lip/chin area redone Feb 17/12 - my eye skin appears looser and it did nothing at all for the lip lines that they say it works so well on. It was done both times by a doctor who claims to be very experienced with this and who supposedly gets great results (with everyone else of course). I am not impressed. As well, I have had massive pimple break-outs which she did absolutely nothing to address- again I'm the only one with this side-effect. I am doubtful about this procedure doing anything for anyone now, other than taking money out of your pocket. At this point, I feel that I am worse off because my eye area skin and my neck skin appears looser, so I guess I will have to plan for a facelift/necklift to repair this. I had originally thought it would just even out my skin and smooth out the upper lip lines, but there's no noticeable improvement.

I also had Smartxide done one month ago. I am not impressed with the results although there is some improvement in cheek skin texture. The acne it caused is unbelievable - I am 58 years old and have not had a regular pimple in 35 years, but on the third day it started behind my ears in the hairline just about where the laser stopped - it's almost like some kind of overspray effect. Pimple after pimple keeps breaking out and they are big and sore and gross. I've had a couple on my mouth area but mainly on my neck behind my ears. I don't know why the doctors don't mention this as a possibility - they want all kinds of precautions taken against cold sores but nothing about this. I also had my upper eyes done, and the edges of my eyelids broke out in little bubbles like stys. They were very irritating and haven't completely gone away yet. All in all, it was $2000 for very little improvement and a lot of misery. I think if I had understood what could happen I would have just gone and had full CO2 laser. My sister had that a few years ago, had a great result and had no zits and stys. By the way, I am still pink/red also.
