Just had active FX done yesterday. Since I arrived late, I didnt get the benefit of a full hour of numbing cream on my face and chest. Regardless, the procedure was not that painful. A bit sensitive around my lips and eyes, but definitey tolerable. Today, my face and chest continue to be red with numerous brown dots. Having been through IPL four times, I know the brown dots will eventually slough off. My skin feels tighter, and I have no swelling. My Docs did not start off at a high setting, as I advised that I only wanted a three day down period. Additionally, as the first treatment, I wanted to see my skin's reaction. The only annoying thing about this entire process is the acquphor - it has the consistency of vasoline 10x! My hair is matted down to my head, my pillow covered in it and my button up shirt stuck to my chest in it. My laundry load just increased. But it does assist with the dryness I feel in my face so I'm sucking it up. I'll post again the further I get into the healing process!
