    Kristy,
Do you have any suggestions on how to get doctors to answer my question? I posted it a couple months ago and only one doctor responded and he did not really answer the question. I’d be extremely grateful for any suggestions you can provide. I have inserted the question below for quick reference.
    Thanks

What Can Be Done to Fix a Distorted Labia? (photo)
I recently (2.15.13) had a limited medial thigh lift and my vagina looks frightening and sunkened from the outside. I have no mons and the labia is half its orginal size. Doc siad to wait for the swelling to subside, but now everytime I've mentioned it he starts talking about doing the thigh lift again in 1-2 years. Is that the only way to repair it? Can it even be repair? If so, how and how much? I didn't take any before pictures of my vagina for comparision purposes--didn't think I'd need to.

    Hi Brooksie,

Thanks for the compliment. I love my new thighs!!! But not at the expense I paid. Unless your best friend happens to be a nurse in that specializes in wound care, do not count on getting excellent after care. I believe in being fair and honest rather than emotion and mean. As for after care, the staple removal, and drain removal was either rushed or done by his nurse who left three staples in my left thigh. A keloid developed over the staples which was so odd because I’ve never keloided before. One day I was picking at the keloid and noticed what looked liked metal underneath it. I went back to him and he dug 1 staple out and shards of at least two other ones. Over the next week the keloid shrived up and completely disappeared!!! The keloid growth was the body’s way to alert the presence of a foreign object.

On the flip side, about 3 weeks after my procedure, I had a seroma to develop on my right groin. He was super apologetic every time I went for him to aspirate it and drain the fluid. He aspirated for 3 weeks twice per week (major gas expense for me). The seroma didn’t get any better. He put another surgical drain in it and that didn’t fix it either. Last Wednesday, June 13th, I went back into the, operating room for him to remove it and add a drain. The seroma was the size of a plum!!! I still have the drain in and it’s draining a lot everyday. I hope to move past this once and for all. Dr. Davoudi also promised to either split the operating cost and anesthesia if any revisions were needed or deem necessary due to his workmanship. While he didn’t charge me for his services for the seroma removal (although all my research points to faulty surgical techniques as the primary cause for a seroma), I had to cover the full cost for the operating room and anesthesia. Fortunately, my insurance paid 85% of the $1,200 fee!!

If I had it to do all over again, I would not run for the hills!!! I would not select Dr. Davoudi. He was the cheapest of the 4 estimates I received and impatience and frugality is primarily why I went with him.

As a side piece of advice, consider smartlipo, instead of traditional lipo. It is a lot less traumatic on your body and requires a shorter recovery. I was bamboozled and convinced into getting smartlipo of my thighs. It did nothing for me, because my issue was not fat, it was skin from weight loss (well duh) I didn’t know that and the doctor (Not Davoudi didn’t tell me). Dr. Davoudi did lipo and a thigh lift. He said he was only able to pull one liter from each thigh because I didn’t have a lot of fat (Why couldn’t he determine that from the initially exam?), however, I was swollen and sore for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Granted I did get a thigh lift which I am certain contributed heavily to the swelling.

Good Luck and keep us posted on your journey.

    Sky,
How is it going? What's the status on your repair surgery?

    Sky,
I finally had my medial thigh lift (scar from grion to inner butt cheek) on Feb 15th and i had several complications with the scars healing, but as of yesterday all parts have closed (fingers crossed that my body stops rejecting the deep sutures). I also have a lymphocele that my doc has drained 3 times and is going to put a drain n today.(set back)..but all and all my thighs look great (aside from the swellin). But my issue is the outter appearance of my vagina. My labia majora is almost non exsistent and the mons (upper lip like part), is gone. I say it looks like a vagina on crack....its very scary looking to me. The inner labia just hangs out unprotected, getting dry and irratated. My hubby doesnt see anythg wrong with it. He thinks its easier access to u know what. But i hate the way it looks. Even if no one will ever see it, but him, i hate it and i want it fixed. So I aplogize for down playing your feelings. Although that was never my intention, in retrospect it may have appeared that way. I cant and dont want to live my life with a creapy looking vagina. So i understand your plight. I wish u luck in locating a ps to fix your incision.
    Take Care,
    Headliner

Thanks for posting your picture. I have searched high and low for a medial thigh lift scare photo. Seems as if body lifts are more common. From the picture, the scare itself looks very well consealed. I'm sorry you are not happy with the results. I wish you had posted more pictures so that you could get feedback. It's probably not what you hoped for but not as bad as you think.
