My doctor told me that it is a common misconception that you will lose weight from this surgery. He said that fat is very light and the scales would not reflect the amount taken out. I too had this surgery and he was right, there was no difference on the scale afterwards. It has been three weeks since my surgery. originally I weighed more post surgery from the swelling and fluid accumulation after surgery. Now the fluid is gone and the swelling is minimal.
