Thank you for this. I am a similar 1.5 yr casualty of InvisAlign and am about to head into ceramic braces. I was supposed to be finishing up by now - sometimes this situation of having to do it all again, but in real braces this time, really gets me down :( Your review helps me realize I'm not alone in travelling this path.
Hey David,
Thought I'd throw out an idea for you to consider. Your teeth look kind of like they might be eligible for veneers from a cosmetic dentist. Just wondering if you had considered that route. I'm curious as to what your clincheck shows as your final result.
You're not supposed to drink with the trays in. The trays hold the acidic liquid to your teeth and cause enamel erosion. You may not be realizing the damage you're causing your teeth quite yet, but you may be in for some unnecessary cavities in the next few years.
Absolutely agree. I have a patronizing ortho whose practice is majority kids. He doesn't feel he needs to explain where we're headed and isn't interested in answering questions. I'm just supposed to flop in the chair and let him twiddle with them however he wants, and no accountability when unexpected surprises happen. This attitude wouldn't fly without a contract in place that binds me to him.
