  • Posted to Vampire Lift - Regenplasma; Just as Effective and Long-lasting as Other Fillers? on 19 Dec 2012

I waited until I add my opinion. I had PRP fillers done in Februray 2012. I originally wanted a fat transfer for my naso labial folds, the throughs under my eyes, the groove in between my eyebrows and a dent on my face. My doctor said that fat transfer was not advisable for areas that "move" a lot as the fat will dissappear (I did some research, he was actually on point). He did agree to do the other areas but I had some issues that I could not have general anaesthesia at the relevant time. So this is where the PRP filler came into the equation; it did not need general anaesthesia, etc. etc. They applied topical numbing solution on my face, harvested my blood plasma and injected them to my face. I was told that the change would be forthcoming but not instantaneously. I am sorry to say that it did not work. The dent is still there, the grooves were still there. By itself, it did not change anything on the areas that did not get any previous treatments, like perlane. The procedure cost me $2,500 plus. I decided to ask my plastic surgeon to give me ArteFill for my previously perlane treated naso labials and the grooves between my eyebrows this last September 2012. I am very happy now, I should have gone to ArteFill in the first place but you know when you are sitting and being told about something new and exciting...PRP aids in healing but in and by itself, personally, I willl never do it, nor recommend it to anyone, let alone pay that much money for non-results.

Hi guys, I was not able to do the fat transfer due to some elevated enzymes in my liver, not a big deal but they would not do it to the extent that I would be under sedation. HOWEVER, they did something else that did not require sedation. They had a PRP injections to fill up the spots I was worried about. The whole process took 1.50 hours. The one hour was just for the local anasthesia to work. They took my blood and put it in the centrifuge, harvested the plasma and injected them on the spots I was concerned about. I understand the final results won't be here until 3 weeks from now. But I do not see the "11" ridge anymore. My right cheek was "rejuvenated" as related to my earlier post on how I lost jaw bone. I am very happy with the procedure, and the upside is that since it is my own stem cells, there will be no worries about rejection. The results I was told by my doctor will last 2 years. In two years, I will hope that I will be able to get booster shots! Cannot wait.

Prior to the PRP, I got an facial, topped off with thermage. The results of these procedures are not "visible" instantly but over time, I know that my results are there. It is in the compliments I get and even the plastic surgeon thought I was 15 years younger. I need to find a way to post my photos. But I will get "you look good to begin with..." and they do not get it--what they see is the results of maintenance from a team of doctors who help me look the way I do. ;)

Dallaslis, Do not waste your time on the likes of WTH --really. We spend so much money on looking great and one sourgrape will try to bring us down. You look great! I just had PRP procedure a week ago and I expect my results within 3-4 weeks. It is your standard--if you think you look great, then you will radiate that. There are so many bitter people in this world that no amount of sunshine can make them smile. I bet you this "WTH" is looking at him/herself in the mirror and saying "OMG, WTH, I look horrible and I do not have the money to do anything about my ugliness!" No fat transfer or PRP or any plastic surgery procedure can fix a psychological problem, you know that! So Dallas and to those other people men or women who care enough to make themselves look and feel better, stay on top of our game and don't let one turkey bring our spirits down. Living well and looking gorgous is our best revenge! Yay!!

Hi DLissette --are you still happy with your results since you had your fat transfer done? I sure hope so!

In 2007, I "lost" my right jaw bone and my right cheek collapsed. I thought maybe I was going to get collagen but the surgeon explained this new technology called SCAG (fat transfer-I think in 2007 they were not doing the PRP yet in this clinic but they do now). I got out of that surgery with just a little bruising. I also asked them to lipo my left cheek as it seemed too fat when I smiled. They agreed to do that so they took out from my left and added to my right but I was told that the fat for the transfer came from my armpits:). But the result is so dramatic and it gave me back my smile. When I was "dented" I did not want to have any photos taken. I was lopsided, in my view. Looking back at those photos, it looked like a dimple that "aged." :)

You look terrific and I know the boost great results can give! I have an appointment this coming February 2012 for fat transfer to my frown line (I have botox but the "11" between the brows have formed ridges that bothers me) and to my naso labial folds. I am quite excited about this and hope to have great results as well.

So my right cheek for those interested - the results is such that it is not dented, but I do not look like a chipmunked or stuffed. There is no lump. I look normal. Whatever I need to do from hereon are not major but maintenance procedures only.

I interested to know if you are still happy with your results and of course I do understand, we age everyday so our looks will change.

I so agree with Robin,Jewel sounds bitter. I am happy for Dallaslissette. I will have to ask her though if she is still happy with her results now, 2012. Plastic surgery is tricky- it can give awesome results to some people and for some people there is dissapointment.

I have an appointment for fat transfer/SCAG for my lower eyelid and in between my eyebrows. In 2007, I had a "minor" fat transfer to my right cheek that collapsed due to medication side effect. I lost my jaw bone. I walked around for a year with a sunken right cheek. It was fixed by fat transfer. It is now 2012, (and fat transfers peak at 5th year and it can then dissolve) and I will consult if I need a booster. Again, happy that Dallas is having a time of her life with her great results!
