Hi, I had a tummy tuck with lipo Dec 2011 and developed rhuematoid arthiritis July 2012. I was placed on prednisone 20mg. I was unable to exercise. I have gained a great deal of weight. About 15lbs.
I am now able to gradually begin exercising.
Has anyone else had this happen? Looking for help and suggestions.
Hi AZKitty, I took two weeks off work but could have went back in a week and 1/2. Depending upon your job you should be fine. I am a United States Marine and I had no issues when I returned to work. No, I haven't started exercising yet but I will next week. That will be my 6 week mark!
Very excited for you! I love it!
Your blog is great and very informative. I am 5 weeks post op this Thursday and still have some swelling. I guess its safe to assume it may be around for a few months.
Thanks for the advice on following a good diet and exercise. Cost alone is enough to make me maintain LOL!
I have recommended this site to everyone I know who may be considering a tummy tuck!
You are truly an inspiration!
I am only 5 weeks post op but getting a tummy tuck is the best investment I have made on myself! I had a tummy tuck, Lipo, breast lift and augmentation. I am still a little swollen but I am wearing a size 8 pants which are even a little to big. I was in a 10 pushing a 12 in most pants and my dresses.
Before the surgery I would not even think about tucking in my shirts but now I do it with confidence, I wear clothes that actually flatter my figure! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! Only regret is not having done it sooner!
Hi FitDiva! I had tummy tuck, lipo, breast lift and augmentation. My surgery was conducted 29 Dec, the surgery lasted 7 hours and I stayed over night for one night, I paid $13,500. I am right down the road from you in Northern Virginia.
I must say this is the best present I have ever given to myself. I am a 46 year young mother of six girls ages 25 - 13.
I am 3 weeks 3 days post op. I still have swelling and my PS wants to lipo my stomach area to tighten up things in three months if the area does not smooth out. I have had three follow up visits and the majority of my stitches removed. He will remove the remaining stitches Tuesday.
My breast augmentation was from a B cup to a full C cup, which currently looks more like a D right now LOL. I had very little breast pain. The majority of the pain was in the abs! I took Percocet the first 5 to 7 days and extra strength Tylenol after that. The compression garment is a life saver and I love it. I began wearing my garment a few days after the drains were removed!
I began using Vitamin E oil and MeDerma about a week ago on my scars and already see a major difference.
Good luck and God bless! Trust me you will love the results.
