Got to love yourself! No matter what you look like, who you are or where you came from. For many years at work I had nasty women calling me "pale face" because they thought I was too light to be Native American. They don't have to live with me, I do! Love yourself and everyone else will follow! :-)
Why then are black people always lightening their skin, straightening their hair, etc.? You can't hide behind that tree! If I want to look black, I braid my hair real tight when it's wet and the next morning, I let it all out! Then I put pillows in the back of my pants and sista, you wouldn't know the diff!!! Nuff Sed!!!
Amen! My husband always said horrible things to me: "You're going to be fat some day. You need to stop eating." I was 110 pounds and near death in the hosp. when a nutritionist met me and helped me back to health. Now, due to thyroid disease I am very sick and obese. At 5'8" I weigh 270, but I do not feel as fat as I did when I was dying and 110 pounds.
