Hi! Thanks for sharing that. It's always nice to hear that Dr. Shah is willing to go back and fix things up when needed. It seems like he really cares about creating a good result that patients are happy with. It's also good to hear that you're still really happy with your decision regardless of any complications! I probably will message you in the future about your experience with the follow-up. Would love to hear how it goes for you and learn a bit about what I might expect myself in the coming months!
Ha! Crazy, right? Thank you, though. It was really scary to see my nose that big after cast removal, and I know most other people won't have that experience, but I know I'm not alone so I'm glad to be able to show how extreme swelling can be for some. It's still not all the way gone either, so it'll be cool to see the difference across an even greater period of time!
That's not a stupid question! Yes, the doctor can make morphs of your predicted outcome. Dr. Shah takes pictures in his office when you go in for a consultation, but I'm guessing you can send in or bring your own pictures, too. It's a good idea to spend some time going over any morphs with your surgeon to make sure you are both on the same page about what you want to accomplish with surgery. Have you consulted with any docs yet?
Thank you! I despised my profile before the surgery, so I totally know how you feel. I think that fixing that has been the best part about going through with this for me :) As for your questions: I have not personally seen any results where anyone's nose was worse than before surgery with this doctor, and have certainly not seen anyone with serious deformities. That doesn't mean there hasn't been any, but I haven't seen any and truly believe that Dr. Shah is a great surgeon. Every doctor will have some unsatisfied patients, but it's up to you to gather as much info as possible and make a call that is based on what you've learned. Just my opinion! :) I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the second question, though. Are you asking what's included in the surgery cost?
