I also just had a septo/rhino with Dr.Shah. He is a very skilled surgeon and I too don't regret my decision to go with him. I hit a snag because of an infection..I was traveling at the time. We communicated via iPhone every 3 hrs..he called in a prescription by the hotel I was staying at..he had a colleague in san Francisco as a back up that I could go to..we decided I fly back right away and he met me on a Sunday (long weekend mind you) straight from the airport. Here I am a few days later and everything is back on track..was I worried..I would have been had my surgeon not been so available. This is how a celebrity must get treated..then again, he probably is used to working on them.
I went with Dr. Shah. I paid the same amount as alexchyla so we must have had a similar case. I was lurking on realself and a few other sites for information on Dr.Shah so I know what you mean, there is not much information on him. The day I went to get my cast off a guy actually came up to me in the waiting room to see what my experience was like. I'm 11 days post op now and am so thankful that things went well and that I am happy with my nose. A few days after the surgery I was feeling -what did I get myself into!-I was too scared to look in the mirror the day the cast came off-Dr. Shah has been reassuring, truthful and direct and has paid attention to every concern and question. I will keep you guys posted as the swelling goes down but so far things are looking good.
Sure I will.. I thought I would wait until the swelling goes down a bit more.. I also had some needling done on my cheeks at the same time so everything is still trying to sort itself out. I am now 11 days post op..nose is still looking great. I am doing some nose excercises as i feel like my nose is to the right slightly but could be bc of swelling..its still early and I'm still happy. I mentioned this to dr.s and as I suspected, he was supportive and more critical than I am myself, so if it becomes an issue I know it will be fixed. All things considered..I am still not disappointed in the least with the outcome. I have been taking pictures daily so if anyone needs them right away pm me otherwise I will wait until 6 wks post op. As far as the fat transfer.. Dr.s was very conservative.. And I am so thankful bc I was panicked on day 3 post op due to the swelling and read about so many unfortunate experiences on this site. I never really discussed it in detail w dr.s he just seemed to know the level to take things since I had 3 procedures done at the same time.
My cast was removed the day before yesterday. I was scared to look in the mirror! but when I did I immediately felt relieved. My nose looked a lot better than I expected. So far I am happy with the result..we will see how things progress as my nose heals. My nose has continued to look better every day and I'm still at home so I feel like I am looking at it every 10 minutes and feeling pretty happy every time. Things are swollen right now and the stitches were very uncomfortable to have removed in this sensitive area. Can't wait to see what Dr. Shah recommends next. I am very comfortable with this surgeon and I am picky picky picky
